With a grave global public health emergency, language should never be an issue. In this interview on the 10th of April 2020, I spoke with Al Jazeera Arabic قناة الجزيرة .

We discussed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the consequences of excessive just in time delivery and outsourcing of essential items manufacture to the cheapest supplier abroad. There are lessons to be learnt here.

One suggestion I made was given the circumstances of our finding a urgent need for PPE, we can and should have ordered the local industry to switch production and focus on producing PPE instead. Build up local expertise too.
