My contributions to quarantine measures article in the Daily Telegraph

My contributions to quarantine measures article in the Daily Telegraph and what should be done to contain and control the #Coronavirus pandemic as we go forwards.

There is a need to control the outbreak within the country and at the same time have measures in place to stop the reintroduction of infection into a country, both measures have to be in operation simultaneously. It cannot be one measure follows the other.

Screening at ports has to be dynamic (target countries with high number of cases, quickly) and requires a follow up after arrival, as at ports of entry only clearly infected persons may be identified whereas, many, would go on to be infectious after arrival thus monitoring at home is equally, if not much more important.
