mRNA, vaccine deployed in the UK today. Expect AstraZeneca to be licenced too.

Sharing good vaccine news today on i24 news.
Today saw the launch in the UK of the Pfizer-BioNTech mRNA vaccine. Excellent news for humanity.
A vaccine invented in less than a year, on a completely new vaccine platform too.

Additional and much better news is around the corner for the AstraZeneca Oxford University vector vaccine.

Their results are published today: https://lnkd.in/dPi7_wZ

The results are very promising and as such, I expect the vector vaccine will soon be licenced too. It is a much easier vaccine to deliver, store and administer to millions very quickly.

These vector vaccines will be a great break through for the rapid and efficient immunisation of millions of people, all over the world.

It is important to be aware that in order to overcome the pandemic we immunise in the home country and simultaneously enable immunisation in all parts of the world, this is a much better way forward.

Look on the vaccines as a additional and very good layer of protection, however we must continue with and maintain the avoidance of : crowds, closed spaces and getting too close to other humans.
